Seagull II

Gray and white seagull
With wingtips dipped in black ink
Writing on the sky.

Camouflaged insect
Overlooked until it moves…
A stick spreads its wings.

Meal Moths

Uninvited guests
Moth wings leave a trace of dust
In winter pantries.

A soaring seagull
Gray wings shade into gray clouds
Fading like the fall.

The chrysalis splits
Trembling fragile wings emerge
Twenty tiny wasps.
