Birdwatching III

Bluer than sapphire
Singing from a budding tree
Indigo bunting.

Earth Day

Robin’s egg blue sphere
Sweeping through the void of space
Yet held in our hands.

Black blots against blue
Coarse cacophony of caws
A murder of crows.

Blue blooms on purple
The tangy taste of July
Drives back the March wind.

Backpost II, or, Why I Didn’t Post This Weekend

A blue screen of death
Vast as a tropical sea…
No haiku today.

I wrote this haiku on 2/19/2011 but, due to aforementioned BSOD, couldn’t post it then…

Black specks against blue
Pepper sprinkled on the sky
Distant flock of birds.
