An orb weaver’s web.

Forage in the dewy grass
Misty March morning.

Stop, thief! Stop and look –
How the silver dew sparkles
In the morning grass.


Pale green jewelweed
Silverplated by the dew
Early May morning.


Night takes off her jewels
Bequeaths her bright pearls to dawn
Strung on spider silk.
